Educational Qualification

As per the official notification, the educational qualification for Junior Engineer is:

• Civil JE: Candidate should possess a three‑year Diploma in Civil Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution. Higher qualifications (above than the three-year Diploma in Civil Engineering) in the same discipline are also acceptable.
• Mechanical JE: Candidate should possess a three‑year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution. Higher qualifications (above than the three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering) in the same discipline are also acceptable.

Punjabi Language Requirement

In addition to the above qualifications, the candidate must have passed the Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects, or an equivalent examination in Punjabi language as per the Punjab Civil Services (General and Common Conditions of Service) Rules, 1994.

Candidates who have not yet passed Punjabi at the Matriculation level must qualify before applying for the posts.

For the applicants who wish to apply for the recruitment of 2026, their application must be submitted online through the official PSSSB website of the board at https://sssb.punjab.gov.in.

2. Register Yourself
