Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the post of the ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) are given below:

• Educational Qualification:
  • The candidate must have passed the Matriculation (10^th) examination before applying.
  • The candidate must have a Diploma in ANM training from a recognized institute OR vocational course in ANM from a recognized institute.
  • The candidate also must be registered as ANM with the Nursing Council of the State Government before applying for the post of ANM.
• Age Limit: The age of the candidate must not be above the 60 years; the candidate should be up to 60 years of age.

Salary

The salary for all the selected candidates is a consolidated amount of ₹25,383/- per month.

Selection Process

The recruitment or selection process will be based on a Written Test of the candidates along with the experience the candidate has, which is converted into marks as shown below:

• Written Test: Total marks for the written test will be 90.
• Experience Marks (COVID-19 Duty between 1^st April 2020 – 31^st March 2022 in GMCH-32/GMSH-16 Chandigarh):
  • If a candidate has more than 6 months of experience, the marks awarded will be 10.
  • If a candidate has experience of 3 to 6 months, the marks awarded will be 5.
  • If a candidate has experience of less than 3 months, the marks awarded will be 0.

Important Dates

• Last Date of Application Submission by the candidate: 1^st April 2026 (up to 1:00 PM)
• The list of all eligible candidates, along with their names and written test details, will be displayed on: 24^th April 2026.
• Contract Duration: Initially up to 31^st March 2027. It may be extended based on the performance of the candidate and the project duration.

Application Process

Candidates must submit their respective application forms in the prescribed format, which is available on the official website www.nrhmchd.gov.in, along with the documents listed below.

• The candidate needs to send their respective self‑attested photocopies of certificates/testimonials (from Matriculation (10th) onwards).
• The candidate needs to have a recent passport-size photograph attested by a Gazetted Officer.

• It is important to note that all OBC candidates must ensure their caste falls under the Chandigarh OBC list, and not just in the Punjab or other State OBC lists. This OBC category will only be considered as reserved if the caste is present in the OBC list of Chandigarh, so please check before applying under the OBC category.
