PSSSB Group-D Paper: Detailed Analysis with Explanations
PSSSB conducted the much‑awaited Group‑D paper on 05 April 2026 using the pen‑and‑paper method. The paper consisted of a total of 150 questions, divided into two parts: Part A and Part B.
- Part A: This section contained 50 questions on Basic Punjabi. It was qualifying in nature, and candidates needed to answer at least 25 questions correctly. Each question carried 1 mark. There was no negative marking in this section, and the marks obtained were not added to the main merit list.
- Part B: This section contained 100 questions, further divided into different subjects as follows:
- General Knowledge & Current Affairs – 25 questions (Q. 51–75)
- Punjab History and Culture – 17 questions (Q. 76–92)
- Logical Reasoning and Mental Ability – 25 questions (Q. 93–117)
- ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ – 13 questions (Q. 118–130)
- English – 12 questions (Q. 131–142)
- ICT – 8 questions (Q. 143–150)
PSSSB Group- D Paper: Part A
In Part‑A of the paper, a total of 50 questions were asked. Each question carries only 1 mark, and there was no negative marking. Candidates needed to score at least 25 marks (50%) to qualify for the evaluation of Part‑B. This section was crucial for the selection process.

PSSSB Group-D Paper: Part B
The part – B of the PSSSB group- D paper is very crucial for the candidates as in this part there were 100 questions with 1 mark each so from this section the merit list will be calculated as the total performance would be calculated from this Part – B only as there is also the -0.25 negative marking was there in the PSSSB Group-D Part – B.
