IBPS PO Notification 2026 Out: Check Exam Dates, 6715 Vacancies, Eligibility, and Exam Pattern for CRP PO/MT-XVI

IBPS has announced a total of 6,715 indicative vacancies across multiple participating public sector banks. Note that three major institutions (Indian Bank, UCO Bank, and Union Bank of India) have Not Reported (NR) their vacancies yet, meaning the total count could increase before final allotments.

Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, applicants must confirm that they meet the baseline eligibility requirements set by IBPS.

Educational Qualification (As on 21.07.2026)

• A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India, or an equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
• Candidates must possess a valid Mark-sheet/Degree Certificate proving they are a graduate on the day of registration. The final result must have been declared on or before 21.07.2026.

Age Limit (As on 01.07.2026)

• Minimum: 20 years | Maximum: 30 years
• Relaxation of Upper Age Limit:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities): 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen / Commissioned Officers: 5 years

IBPS PO Pay Scale and Structure

The compensation package for an IBPS Probationary Officer / Management Trainee is exceptionally competitive:

• Basic Pay Scale: 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920
• Perks & Allowances: Officials are entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Lease accommodation, Medical aid, and travel perquisites as per the active rules of their respective assigned bank.

Examination Structure & Selection Process

The recruitment process strictly follows a multi-tier structure consisting of an Online Preliminary Exam, an Online Main Exam, a non-qualifying Personality Test, and a Common Interview.

Phase 1: Online Preliminary Examination (Objective)

Candidates must pass section-wise minimum cut-off scores determined by IBPS to qualify for the Mains.

Phase 2: Online Main Examination (Objective + Descriptive)

Marks scored in the Main examination are the sole objective weights used for final merit list processing.

Negative Marking Alert: There is a penalty for wrong answers marked in objective sections. One-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for every incorrect response.

Phase 3: Personality Test & Interview

• Personality Test: Mandatory but non-qualifying self-report assessment conducted prior to interviews.
• Common Interview: Allotted total of 100 marks. The weightage ratio between the Online Main Exam and the Interview is 80:20 respectively.

Application Fees (Non-Refundable)

Application charges must be processed strictly online from 01.07.2026 to 21.07.2026:

• Rs. 175/- (inclusive of GST): For SC / ST / PwBD candidates.
• Rs. 850/- (inclusive of GST): For all other General, EWS, and OBC candidates.

How to Apply Online for IBPS PO XVI

Candidates must complete their submissions exclusively via online portals:

1. Visit Portal: Go to www.ibps.in and select the link “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP-PROBATIONARY OFFICERS/MANAGEMENT TRAINEES (CRP-PO/MT-XVI)”.
2. New Registration: Click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” to fill in basic information and generate a unique Registration Number and Password.
3. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your passport photo, live web-captured photo, signature, left thumb impression, 10th standard certificate, and standard hand-written declaration.
4. Fill Academic Details & Bank Preference: Fill in required marks and set your sequence order of bank preferences.
5. Payment Processing: Pay fees securely through integrated payment channels (Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or Wallets).
6. Print Documents: Safely save and print your generated application e-receipt and application document for verification processes down the road.

Required Text for Hand-Written Declaration:

“I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

(Note: The declaration must be written in English by the candidate’s own hand and must not be in capital letters).
