The Society for Centralized Recruitment of Staff in Subordinate Courts (S.S.S.C.), on behalf of the District and Sessions Judges in the State of Haryana, has released a detailed employment notice (No. 36C/SSSC/HR/2026) for the direct recruitment of Clerks in the Subordinate Courts of Haryana.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (As of January 1, 2026)

  • General / Unreserved: 18 to 42 years.
  • SC / BC of Haryana: 18 to 47 years (5 years relaxation).
  • PwBD of Haryana: 10 years relaxation (+5 years if belonging to SC/BC/EWS), up to a maximum of 52 years.
  • Unmarried/Widowed/Divorced/Separated Women: Upper age limit is 47 years.
  • In-Service Government Employees: Upper age limit is 45 years.
  • Ad-hoc/Contract/Daily Wage Workers in Haryana Govt: Age relaxation equals the number of completed years of service, up to a maximum age of 52 years.

Educational Qualification (Must be completed by June 23, 2026)

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), or an equivalent degree from a recognized university.
  • Computer Proficiency: Must be proficient in using computers, specifically Word Processing and Spread Sheets.
  • Language Requirement: Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th) with Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects, OR completed 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as a subject.

Application Fee Structure

Fees must be paid online and are strictly non-refundable.

  • Male (General/All Other Categories): ₹1,200 (₹550 Online Charges + ₹650 Exam Fee).
  • Female (General/All Other Categories): ₹875 (₹550 Online Charges + ₹325 Exam Fee).
  • SC/DSC/OSC/BC-A/BC-B/ESM/EWS of Haryana (Male & Female): ₹710 (₹550 Online Charges + ₹160 Exam Fee).
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) of Haryana: NIL.

Scheme of Selection & Exam Pattern

The selection process involves an Online Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).

Phase 1: Written Examination (CBT)

  • Duration: 2 Hours
  • Negative Marking: 1/4th mark (0.25) will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Written Exam Pattern Details

  • General Knowledge (Objective Type)
    • Question Breakdown: 50 multiple-choice questions (01 mark each).
    • Maximum Marks: 50 marks.
    • Qualifying Standard: Minimum 33% marks in this subject.
  • English Composition (Objective & Subjective Type)
    • Question Breakdown:
      • Objective Portion: 50 multiple-choice questions worth 20 marks total.
      • Subjective Portion (Typed on Computer): Includes an Essay of 150 words (10 Marks), a Letter (05 Marks), a Precis (05 Marks), and Hindi to English Translation (10 Marks).
    • Maximum Marks: 50 marks.
    • Qualifying Standard: Minimum 33% marks in this subject.
    • Note: The subjective portion is only checked if you score 33% or higher in the General Knowledge section.
  • Overall Qualifying & Exam Conditions
    • Total Exam Marks: 100 marks total.
    • Aggregate Passing Criteria: You must obtain at least 40% marks in the aggregate of both subjects combined to qualify for the next stage.
    • Negative Marking: A penalty of 1/4th mark (0.25) will be deducted for every wrong answer in the objective sections. Unattempted questions receive no credit or discredit.

Important: The subjective English section will only be evaluated for candidates who score 33% or more in the General Knowledge paper.

Phase 2: Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)

Candidates who qualify the CBT will be shortlisted for the CPT, which is mandatory but qualifying in nature.

  • Part-I (Spread Sheet Test): 10 Marks (10 Minutes). Candidates must score at least 40% (4 marks) to qualify.
  • Part-II (Computer Typing Test): Word processing test typing at a minimum speed of 30 W.P.M. in English. Part-II will only be checked if the candidate passes Part-I.

  2. Click on the link for “Clerk Subordinate Courts of Haryana”.
  3. Fill out the Registration Form to generate a unique Registration ID and Password.
  4. Complete the Application Form. You will need a device with an inbuilt or attached webcam to capture a real-time photograph, alongside uploading a scanned signature and a recent passport-sized photo (white background, less than a month old).
  5. Make the application fee payment via Internet Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI.
  6. Submit the form and print out a hard copy for future reference.
