  1. Candidates must have a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade under the CGPA system.
  2. Minimum 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 and above, or 8 years in Academic Level 12 or above (including Associate Professor) with experience in Educational Administration.
  3. OR 15 years of administrative experience, with at least 8 years as Deputy Registrar or equivalent post.

SBSSU Gurdaspur Recruitment 2026 – General Terms & Conditions:

1. Minimum Qualifications & Experience for faculty posts shall be as per the respective governing/statutory
   bodies (UGC Notification No. F.1-2/2017(EC/PS) dated 18.7.2018, AICTE Notification F. No. 61-1/RIFD/7th
   CPC/2016-17 dated 01.3.2019, ICAR etc.) in the respective disciplines/programs along with their time-to-time
   amendments.
2. All qualifications, experiences and other criteria will be considered as on the closing date.
3. Persons serving in Govt./ Semi-Govt. / PSUs / Universities / Educational Institutions should attach a NO
   OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from the Competent Authority of the organization serving or at least produce it,
   at the time of presentation/interview, failing which the candidate may not be allowed to appear for the interview.
4. The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of the submitted information, other documents and
   photographs. Furnishing of any false information and/or suppression/concealment of facts shall lead to
   rejection/cancellation of selection/appointment at any stage.
5. Applications without relevant supporting enclosures and the prescribed application fee will be rejected. All the
   claims have to be supported by documents. Any claim without supporting document(s), will not be considered.
6. For reserved category posts, the reservation policy of the Punjab Government shall be followed. If suitable
   candidates are not available in the reserved categories, candidates from open/other categories may be
   considered as needed.
7. Mere fulfilment of minimum qualification and experience requirements does not entitle any candidate to be
   called for the presentation/interview. The concerned department may have shortlisting criteria higher than the
   minimum to restrict the number of candidates to be called for presentation.
8. Candidates who wish to apply for different departments or for more than one department must submit separate applications for each post in the prescribed manner. Even if a candidate wishes to apply for more than one post or pay level within a department, he/she needs to apply separately for each post/pay level. Candidate(s) applying for more than one post will have to pay fees for each post.
9. Selected candidates will be placed under probation as per Punjab Govt. norms and will be regularized subject to
   the satisfactory completion of the probation and other requirements as per university/Punjab Govt. rules. The
   probation of the selected candidate(s) may also be extended further.
10. Canvassing in any form will lead to the disqualification of the candidature.
11. Decisions of SBSSU Gurdaspur shall be final in matters of selection and appointment, and no correspondence
    in this regard will be entertained. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Vice Chancellor, SBSSU Gurdaspur,
    shall be final.
