- Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inspected the Zojila Tunnel, an all‑weather link between Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir. The 13.153 km bi‑directional tunnel is built at an altitude of 11,578 feet above sea level.
- The Punjab Government has created over 38,000 job posts in welfare boards across 21 state‑level welfare boards for various castes and communities, but these posts have been established without salary, allowances, office space, or dedicated staff.
- Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, a Bathinda‑born IPS officer, assumed charge as the Director General of Police (DGP) and head of the police force in Tamil Nadu. He is now serving as Special Director General in the Border Security Force (BSF) in New Delhi.
