- The Kishau Multi‑Purpose Dam Project has entered its final stage as one of North India’s most significant river rejuvenation initiatives, with six North Indian states — Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan — involved. A high‑level meeting was held in New Delhi to finalize a resource‑sharing agreement, reaching consensus on rejuvenation of the Yamuna basin, improvement of drinking water supply, hydropower generation, and inter‑state water distribution management.
- India has joined global powers and partners in supporting efforts to combat the Ebola outbreak in Africa, particularly in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda, at the G7 meet in Évian-les-Bains, France.
