Rule 6: Use of Definite article ‘The’ before Nationality Expressing Words (ਨਾਗਰਿਕਤਾ / ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀਤਾ ਦਰਸਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ)
ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ, ਕੌਮ ਜਾਂ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸਮੂਹ (nationality as a group of people) ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ The ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Rule 6 states that ‘The’ is used before nationality expressing words when they refer to a whole community, nation, or people as a group. ਇਸ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਇੱਕ collective group ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ।

Rule 7: Use of ‘The’ before Names of Religious Books (ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ The ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗ)
ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ, ਮਹਾਕਾਵਿ ਜਾਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਸਤਕ (religious books / sacred texts / epics) ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ The ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
