• Two Indian airports — Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) Terminal 1 and Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA) Guwahati Terminal 2 — have been selected for the Prix Versailles World’s Most Beautiful Airports 2026 list.
• Divyanshi Singh has become the first woman officer from the National Defence Academy (NDA) to be commissioned into the Indian Air Force’s ground duty branch.
• Four new Namo Cities are planned to decongest the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR) at a cost of ₹5,000 crore over five years, aimed at promoting balanced growth across the NCR. The population of the NCR may exceed 15 crore, with Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh finalising the blueprint to reshape and develop these new cities in the four states.
• The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali conferred the Dr. Manmohan Singh Award for Academic Excellence on four scholars. The award, instituted to honour the late Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji, was presented for the first time to Kaustubh Purohit (Biological Sciences), Nandana K.K.
