- The Indian government has made changes to the Citizenship Rules with the introduction of stringent disclosure norms for applications from passport holders of Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. In the Constitution of India, Part II (Citizenship) contains Articles related to citizenship, from Article 5 to Article 11.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred with Norway’s highest civilian award, the Grand Cross of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit, for his contribution to India–Norway relations. The award was presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi by King Harald V of Norway at a special ceremony. This marks his 32nd international honour from different countries across the world.
- India and Norway have launched a green strategic partnership aimed at doubling bilateral trade by 2030 and accelerating investment under the Indian EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA). The agreement seeks to achieve $100 billion in investments and create at least one million jobs in India over the next 15 years.
- Aaron Rai, an English golfer of Indian origin, won the PGA Championship.
- The Haryana Cabinet has cleared new industrial policies under the flagship Make in Haryana Industrial Policy 2026, which will replace the previous 2020 industrial policy. The new policy aims to attract an estimated ₹5 lakh crore investment in the state and generate over 10 lakh jobs in the next five years.
