  • For the first time in the history of the Indian judicial system, four of the country’s 25 High Courts have women Chief Justices simultaneously. Justice Meenakshi M. Rai, Justice Sunita Aggarwal, Justice Lisa Gill, and Justice Revati Mohite Dere became the Chief Justices of Patna, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, and Meghalaya, respectively.
  • Indian young shuttler Tanvi Patri from Odisha finished second in the Austrian Open International Series after losing the final to Rachel Chan from Canada in the women’s singles event held in Graz, Austria.
  • Indian shuttlers Satish Karunakaran and Zenith Abbigail also finished as runners‑up in the Austrian Open International Series, after losing the final to the German pair Jan Colin Voelker and Emma Moszczynski.
  • Indian shuttler Aryanveer Dewan won the boys’ U‑19 title at the 33rd Asian Junior Individual Squash Championships in Panzhihua, China. He became only the fourth Indian to emerge as the Asian boys’ U‑19 champion. With this gold, India finished the tournament with one gold, three silver, and four bronze medals.
  • Rohit Rajpal, India’s Davis Cup captain, has been appointed as the country’s Chef de Mission for the upcoming Commonwealth Games, which are to be held in Glasgow, Scotland. The President of the IOA is P. T. Usha, and the CEO is Raghuram Iyer.
  • The Punjab Government conferred the Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Awards on athletes, with a total prize money of ₹32.05 crore.
