- The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has taken a major step to expand its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) technology and transfer it to eligible private companies to strengthen domestic space manufacturing, encourage startup participation, and enhance India’s position in global commercial space exploration. This initiative will be implemented by the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe).
- President Droupadi Murmu commemorated the Padma Awards 2026, honouring 65 distinguished personalities from diverse fields including Sports, Cinema, Music, Literature, Public Affairs, and Social Services. The awards comprised 2 Padma Vibhushan, 7 Padma Bhushan, and 56 Padma Shri recognitions.

- India has taken another step towards technology‑driven governance with the launch of four advanced digital policing applications: 1) Abhigyan, 2) Criminal Procedure Identification (CrPI), 3) e‑Prosecution 2.0, and 4) e‑Forensics 2.0. These applications are integrated with the Integrated Criminal Justice System (ICJS).
- India’s first Made‑in‑India C295 transport aircraft is scheduled to be delivered to the Indian Air Force (IAF) by September 2026. This aircraft is being assembled by Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) in partnership with Airbus.
