- China has achieved the controlled recovery of a reusable rocket booster from an orbital‑class reusable rocket named Long March‑10B. This marks the second successful recovery of an orbital‑class rocket booster, after the American company SpaceX, which was the first to achieve this milestone in December 2015.
- The Hong Kong government has allowed dog owners and their four‑legged pets to accompany them to dining restaurants
- The Government of India has mandated licensing for all formulations containing more than 12% v/v (volume/volume) ethyl alcohol in quantities exceeding 30 ml, to prevent the misuse of medical products with high levels of alcohol.
- The World Bank has approved a $4.2 billion private financing package for India’s rooftop solar initiative, aimed at accelerating the country’s rooftop solar programme.
- The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched the beta version of its website in collaboration with the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) and the Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur. The revamped website incorporates feedback on issues such as captcha verification and other performance‑related shortcomings.
- The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas released a report stating that petrol blended with 20% ethanol (E20) may cause a 3–5% decrease in fuel economy in some vehicles.
- According to the latest release by the Government of India, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) clarified that no app can block phone calls originating from the 1600 number series, which is used for communication by regulated entities and the government to citizens. Similarly, promotional calls from the 140 number series cannot be tagged or filtered by any app and can only be blocked through the Do Not Disturb (DND) registry managed by the regulator.
- The Indian Army is set to add 450 Carl Gustaf lightweight rocket launchers, which are shoulder‑fired units. These are being manufactured as the Swedish‑origin 84 mm Carl Gustaf Mark‑IV lightweight rocket launcher, with a range between 350 and 800 metres and improved accuracy.
