- India has assumed the Vice‑Presidency of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) under the Mexican Presidency of Elisa de Anda Madrazo in Paris. Vivek Aggarwal has taken charge as the Vice‑President, succeeding the United Kingdom’s Giles Thomson. The FATF is the global body combating terror financing, with its headquarters located in France.
- The Government of India has approved an interest rate of 8.25 percent for the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). The Finance Ministry sanctioned this rate, which was set by the Central Board of Trustees (CBT), the decision‑making body of the EPFO.
- Patiala resident Noor Singh has secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 in the Chartered Accountant (CA) Final Examination 2026.
- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has become the first Arab country to impose a ban on social media use for all children under the age of 15. The regulation prohibits children from creating accounts, posting content, commenting, sharing, or joining public groups on social media platforms.
- Arvinder Singh Bahal, the first Sikh to visit space as a tourist and the second person in the world to travel to all 193 United Nations member countries, is currently in Amritsar to seek blessings from the Guru.

- A jatha of 290 Sikh pilgrims will travel to Pakistan to mark the death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The pilgrimage begins on June 21, and the devotees will participate in the anniversary events on June 29.

- The 63‑metre‑tall Lotus Memorial Tower has been constructed at the Shaheed Smarak in Ambala Cantonment. It showcases the story of the First War of Independence of 1857 across a 22‑acre area along the Ambala–Delhi National Highway, as a tribute to the unsung heroes who sacrificed their lives in the 1857 struggle for independence.
- The Vice President of India, C.P. Radhakrishnan, is on a tour of Ladakh, where he visited the Ladakh War Memorial, Sindhu Ghat, the Pashmina Goat Farm at Upshi, and the first rock check dam on the Sindhu River.
