  • The Finance Ministry released GST revenue data with an all‑time high record of ₹2.43 lakh crore collection in April, which is an 8.7 percent rise. Previously, the record was ₹2.23 lakh crore in April last year.
  • In a special session, the Punjab Government passed resolutions to increase minimum wages for the working class across private and public sectors by 15 percent. The last hike was in 2012. Along with this, the Assembly passed the Punjab Prisons and Correctional Services Bill, 2026 and the Societies Registration (Punjab Amendment) Bill, 2026.
  • The first case has been filed under the new Anti‑Sacrilege Jaagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Act, 2026 at Malout, regarding alleged desecration of Gutka Sahib.
  • The Government of Haryana initiated the Gyan Bharatam Mission on the national survey of manuscripts. For this, the government asked people who have any valuable manuscripts in their possession to share them digitally on the Gyan Bharatam mobile application.
  • A ₹15,000 crore RRTS Gurugram‑Faridabad‑Noida Namo Bharat high‑speed corridor is set to open, reducing travel time from Gurugram to Noida to 40 minutes. The 64 km long high‑speed corridor, operated by RRTS‑cum‑Metro, is expected to reach speeds of up to 180 kmph.

  • India’s first barrier‑less toll plaza has been inaugurated at Choryasi on the Surat‑Bharuch section of National Highway 48 in Gujarat. The barrier‑less Multi‑Lane Free Flow (MLFF) system was launched by Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari.
